Closed Captioning is available for every TV channel that provides the feature. Captioning provides a text display of the spoken dialogue and audio cues on the device screen as the video is displayed.
Captions can be turned on using the WAVE remote using the “C” key.

TTY Telephone & TRS Services
WAVE Rural Connect telephone service supports teletypewriter (TTY) equipment. This enables real-time phone communication on a user device with a visual text display. Access to the Telecom Relay Service (TRS) is also available. TRS is a telephone service that provides service accessibility for people with hearing and speech disabilities and other individuals using standard voice telephones.
TRS calls can be initiated by dialing 711 from a home phone, teletypewriter, or telecommunications device for the deaf (TDD).
All commonly used cross-manufacturer, standard TTY signal protocols can be made using WAVE voice services. Services that require a response from a user within a time interval, such as voicemail, messaging, auto-attendant, and interactive voice response telecommunications systems, will give an alert when a sufficient time interval is required.
